ABOUT

Transformer Disposal & Recycling Experts

For over 30 years, Environmental Protection Services has been a leader in providing disposal and recycling services for transformers and other electrical equipment.  EPS can also handle equipment with any level of PCB contamination.  In addition, EPS can recycle transformer oil, even it it has a higher concentration of PCB.

We offer a wide range of highly-specialized services to our customers. Unlike others in the industry, EPS has a focus on significantly reducing their liability, risks and costs in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.

In 1989, our founders recognized a void in the waste management and disposal industry, a void that largely still exists today. Although there is no shortage of companies to choose from, none have the expertise and ability to provide services as thoroughly and cost-effectively as EPS.

The Industry Leader

Our 50,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility has the largest incineration capacity in the nation.  The EPS facility meets and exceeds all U.S. Environmental Protection Agency regulations. The EPA frequently consults with EPS on regulations and protocols including the development of incineration furnace regulations. Our custom-built furnace is the largest in the country, ten times larger than that of any other provider.

With the largest capacity, and leading-edge processes, EPS can accept equipment and oil with the highest PCB levels. Because of this, EPS can safely dispose and recycle even the most severely contaminated. We routinely handle disposal jobs, both in size and scope, that many of our competitors just won’t touch.

Eliminating risk and liability. Reducing costs. Protecting the environment. That’s EPS.

Our sister company, Power Substation Services, specializes in the nationwide installation and maintenance of substation transformers. PSS has oil processing rigs that can improve qualities of transformer oil, even while the transformer is energized.  Added to the fact that PSS can perform many types of field repairs along with providing expert analysis of your dielectric fluids.
