Material Recovery and Reuse

Copper, aluminum and steel recovered from transformers can be returned to productive use, reducing demand for virgin materials and the energy-intensive mining and refining associated with them.

Waste Reduction

Recycling retired transformers and electrical equipment diverts reusable materials from landfills and reduces the chance that oils or hazardous constituents are left in inappropriate disposal streams.

Oil Reclamation

Transformer mineral oil that can be treated and reclaimed through the PCBX process can be reintroduced to the market as recycled oil products, extending the useful life of the material.
